Holstein cows are white with black, but there are copies reddish white (the color comes from a recessive gene). Color variation starts at predominantly white with black spots, to predominantly black with white spots. Holstein color is on its ancestors who lived in nomadic tribes in North America.
A healthy Holstein cow has 40 kilograms at birth. When fully mature at age 4, the average weight is 680 kg Holstein cow and is 1.5 meters tall (from feet to shoulders). Holstein bulls may reach a weight of 1,180 kilograms.
